The RT4709 is a multi-channel DC-DC converter designed to provide power for AMOLED displays. It integrates step-up and inverting DC-DC converters to supply the positive and negative output voltages required by AMOLED displays. Additionally, it includes a buck converter to power the display source driver IC.For portable applications, board space and efficiency are always major concerns. The high switching frequency of the RT4709 allows the use of low-inductance inductors, saving board space. The output voltages VO1, VO2, VO3, VO4 can be programmed by an external MCU through the ESWIRE and ASWIRE pins. The positive output voltage range for VO1 is 4.6V to 5.2V, for VO3 is 5V to 8V, and for VO4 is 0.8V to 1.5V. The negative output voltage range for VO2 is -1.4V to -10V. The RT4709 is available in a WL-CSP-42B 2.64x2.89 (BSC) package, optimizing the solution for PCB space. The recommended junction temperature range is -40°C to 125°C, and the ambient temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
