Richtek and Calterah Collaborate to Transform Automotive Radar Systems

Richtek, a global leader in analog IC design, has announced a strategic collaboration with Calterah, a pioneer in CMOS single-chip mmWave radar sensors, to introduce highly integrated automotive power management solutions tailored for the Alps and Alps-Pro SoCs platforms. This partnership also underscores Richtek’s commitment to providing comprehensive power solutions in the rapidly evolving field of smart driving, where radar systems play a crucial role in enhancing vehicle safety.

Richtek’s new system optimization automotive FuSa (Functional Safety) PMIC, the RTQ2080/1-QF, housed in a WET-WQFN4x4-24AL package with wettable flanks, features built-in Watchdog function and is designed to support both Alps and Alps-Pro platforms. Key Features of the RTQ2080/1-QF:

 
ISO26262 ASIL B Compliance: Guarantees adherence to stringent automotive functional safety standards.
Built-in Watchdog Timer (WDT) Function: Enhances system reliability by monitoring and responding to system failures. We offer two products with different WDT timeout valid region tolerances for selection.
Highly Integrated Power Solutions: Includes one 1.5A, 24Vin Buck converter with 36V load dump tolerance, two 1.5A, 5Vin Buck converters, one 0.3A high PSRR LDO, and one 0.4A LDO, meeting system power requirements.
High Design Flexibility: Offers configurable functions by I2C or trimmed at the factory, allowing for customization of output voltages, power-on sequence, OV/UV monitor thresholds, and watchdog timeout settings.
