Richtek, the global leading analog IC design company, has teamed up with SemiDrive, the leading provider of automotive-grade SoCs and MCUs, to unveil highly integrated automotive power management solutions tailored for X9-series platforms. This collaboration is poised to address the increasing demand for high integration and performance in automotive applications, particularly for smart cockpits, while also ensuring robust support for functional safety requirements.
SemiDrive’s X9-series is an automotive-grade SoC family targeting the next generation of automotive e-cockpit system. X9-series platforms integrate high-performance CPU, GPU, AI accelerator, and video processor to meet the growing demand for powerful computing capabilities and rich multimedia performance in cockpit applications. The shipments of X9-series have already exceeded three million units.
Powering the X9-series platforms is Richtek’s new automotive addition, the RTQ2209-QA, a 10-channel multi-configuration power management IC in a wettable flank QFN6x6 package. With dual multi-configurable buck converter groups, this all-in-one solution delivers exceptional versatility for compact designs. With the I2C control, it offers high flexibility, enabling configuration in various combinations to support different power requirements in X9-series platforms. When paired with Richtek's automotive products, such as the 20A multi-phase multi-channel Buck converter RTQ2134-QA and the 8A Buck converter RTQ2159-QA, the RTQ2209-QA extends its capabilities to support advanced high-power platforms. Additionally, featuring 50µA low quiescent current, the RTQ2209-QA ensures minimal power consumption during Suspend to RAM (STR) mode, optimizing power efficiency and extending battery life.
