NAB Analog/Mixed-Signal Layout Engineer

Location: San Jose CA, Allentown PA, Colorado Springs CO, Vancouver WA

Job Description

Richtek seeking an exceptional layout candidate that can develop high quality layouts with the next generation process technologies for power management, data converters, and various other IP, from initial concepts to final database sign-off.


You will be responsible to deliver a high-quality layout which includes the following:

  • Working with the circuit design team to plan and schedule work as needed to build a complex analog layout with next generation process nodes.
  • Running complete sets of design verification tools and complete understanding of DRC, LVS, QRC, ERC, DFM, and other reports.
  • Finding the fastest way to complete the layout that meets the stringent matching, performance, area, and power requirements.
  • Implementing ECO’s to meet the design specification and the ability to create schematics to debug issues/test cases.
  • On time delivery to the project schedule without compromise to the layout quality.
  • Participate in self-development activities that allows you to enhance your soft skills.
  • Expected to be able to accept and apply feedback from others.
  • Work well with local teams or with other teams across different locations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of experience or equivalent in analog layout design.
  • Solid understanding of traditional analog layout requirements
  • Proficient experience with custom and standard cell-based floor planning and hierarchical layout assembly.
  • Experience with EM/IR tools and results.
  • High-level proficiency in interpretation of UNIX environment, Calibre, DRC, ERC, LVS, etc. reports.
  • Proficient with Virtuoso layout suite
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Scripting experience in PERL, TCL, Unix or SKILL CODE is considered a plus.
